Defective Wireless Adapter, Poor Customer Service
By WANT ADS
This product is GARBAGE. The built-in wireless adapter does not work. With no CD drive or ethernet port on these streamlined convertibles, the user is wholly reliable on wireless. I had to replace it. Problem is, I had the exact same problem with the second, replacement computer. The built-in wireless card adapter did not work a second time! And don't just take my word for it. Reports of this same issue are all over the Internet! I am shocked that Sony has not recalled this product. I returned this product for a full refund, but Sony was not accomodating at all. They acted like they didn't even care. As it turns out, even if the wireless card had worked, Sony really skimped on the quality: its specs read single band, 52 Mbps. That is unusually low! It just makes no sense that Sony would go all out on design and aesthetics and features, but skimp on performance. My boss told me over and over again: Sony is not a computer company; it's a radio company. Buy Sony's headphones, but leave their computers on the shelf!
